Etymology
From *yetägü (“four of a group; somebody”), from Proto-Turkic *yẹt(t)i (“four”).
Cognate with Kazakh жетеу (jeteu, “seven as a group”), Southern Altai јетӱ (ǰetü), Bashkir етәү (yetäw, “seven”), Kumyk еттев (yettew) and etc.
