Itea

Itea is a seaside town in the Phocis region of West Central Greece. It is the old port-town of the nearby temple in Delphi. There is a lot of Bauxite mining in the area and this remains the primary source of economic activity for the city.

There are three daily buses to Delphi.

• 🌍 Ossios Loukas Monastery — A historic monastery, listed on UNESCO's World Heritage Sites

• 🌍 Nafsika Palace, Heroon str. 6, ☏ +30 2265 033300, [email protected]. A grand hotel, extensively renovated in 2007. (updated Apr 2018)
• Trokadero Beach Hotel, ☏ +30 22 65033413. Nice and new hotel by the beach. Cool modern design in the rooms. Quiet location, but still close to action: It's a 10 minute walk to the center of the town. 

• Delphi is full of ancient things to see.
• Arachova and the nearby mount Parnassos is the place to go for skiing in the winter months
