Punkunnam Shiva Temple is a small temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in Punkunnam, a noisy suburb of Thrissur city of Central Kerala. This temple is a classic example of the Kerala style of architecture. It is one among the 108 Shiva Temples of Ancient Kerala, and is believed to be the original seat of the God and Goddess at the famous Vadakkumnathan Temple. Other than Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, who is installed in the same sanctum as Lord Shiva in the opposite direction, there are sub-shrines for Lord Ganapathi, Lord Ayyappan, Lord Krishna as Parthasarathy and Snake deities. It is administered by Cochin Devaswom Board.
