Kaya Magan Cissé or Kaya Maghan(meaning ruler of gold) also known as Dinga Cisse(c. 700) it's unlikely he was the same Dinga Cisse (ancient) who was said to have unified the ancient proto-Soninke/Mande in the Soninke's unspecified ancient Classical era, although he was historically attested as a medieval Soninke king of Wagadou(Ouagadou). Oral traditions of the Soninke people mention a varied number of Kings or just noteworthy nobility with the name Dinga Cisse or even as an alternative name. He (Kaya Magan Cissé) was the founder of the Cissé Tounkara dynasty which later dominated the Ghana Empire from the 8th century CE.[1]
