Egberdiena "Diny" Hobers (born 10 December 1932) is a retired Dutch high jumper. She competed at the 1960 Summer Olympics and finished in 16th place.[1] She was awarded the KNAU Cup.

However, she missed the 1956 Summer Olympics due to the Netherlands withdrawal due to the Russian invasion of Hungary.

Career

In 1955, she won her first Dutch title, in the pentathlon . She repeated this in the following three years. She competed at the 1957 Dutch athletics championships, placing first in high jump. In 1958 and 1959, she was the national record holder in shot put.[2] She usually competed in the high jump.[3]

She was selected to participate in the 1956 Summer Olympics, but the Netherlands Olympic Committee, decided on a boycott, after she had arrived.[4][5][6]

She competed at the 1958 European Athletics Championships, in pentathlon finishing fourth.

She competed at the 1960 Summer Olympics, in high jump.[7][8][9]

She was a member of Goiose Athletic Club.[10]
