The Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita Bill, 2023 is bill of Parliament of India. The bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha on 11 August 2023 to repeal and replace the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).[1][2][3]

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the bill will be sent to a parliamentary panel for further scrutiny. A report by the Standing Committee on Home Affairs concerning the bill was adopted on 6 November.[4]

Introduction

On 11 August 2023, the Home Minister of India, Amit Shah, introduced the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in Lok Sabha. This bill is considered to be a significant and monumental reform in the Indian Criminal Justice System.[5][6][7]
