The 2023–24 Chicago Blackhawks season is the 98th season (97th season of play) for the National Hockey League (NHL) franchise that was established on September 25, 1926.[1] The Blackhawks are led by second-year head coach Luke Richardson.[2] This is the first season since 2006–07 that Jonathan Toews is not on the roster as his contract expired at the end of the season.[3] In addition, it is the first full-season since that same year without Patrick Kane after he was traded to the New York Rangers in February.[4]
