Hello! My name is Stefanie Ayala. I am a first-year at California State University, Los Angeles, and I'm doing my undergrad in civil engineering.
My interest in engineering started during my sophomore year of high school. I went to work with a family friend who had been working in aeronautical engineering. After leaving I remember feeling a sense of understanding of what I wanted to do. Then during my junior year after looking into all the types of engineering available I realized that civil engineering had been the one for me. I loved how it was involved in the upbringing of many sites around me and how it was also an opening into the environmental parts of the world.
