Introduction
In order to charge the battery or begin taking apart the camera, you'll need to first remove the battery.

Place thumb on the battery cover panel on the bottom of the device.

Slide the panel to the right away from the camera.

Slide the orange latch outward towards the corner of the camera.

The battery should pop out.

Remove the battery and reattach the cover.

Conclusion
To replace the battery: reinsert it in the proper orientation, fold the latch back over, and slide it towards the camera to lock it back in place.
