Does your book have a broken spine and you don't want to spend money on a new copy? Learn how to fix the book's spine yourself in these easy-to-do instructions!

            Shake up the glue before removing the cap.

            Then, test glue on a piece of paper before placing it on the spine of the book. It should be about the consistency of Elmer's glue.

            Place the glue along the spine opposite of the cover. Make sure you are distributing glue evenly.

            You may also choose to use a paint brush to make sure area is completely covered with glue.

            After placing the glue, wrap the cover tightly around the book. 
- 
            Firmly drag your fingers down the spine of the book to avoid any air pockets. 
- 
            Remove any excess glue with a tissue. 
- 
            For the demonstration we held the book as shown. You may also choose to place something on top of the book, such as a paperweight or another book, and let it sit for 30 to 40 minutes.

            After the glue is dry, you should be able to lightly tug on the pages without any movement. 
- 
            If movement occurs then allow the glue an additional 10 to 15 minutes to dry. Once dry, you've completed your book repair.
